Today a goal fell

My great friend has really accomplished a lot in the last 19 years. He has not only sacrificed a great deal to help protect this country but he has done it with the greatest of honor and integrity. Today he officially found out he made Chief Warrant Officer in the US Coast Guard. This has long been a dream for him and getting there is not something 95% of the people in the Coast Guard accomplish. I just wanted to send him a note of thanks and let him know how much we love him and appreciate the goal that fell for him today. No man I know deserves honor more than that kid that came to beat me up in 6th grade for getting him in trouble at school. So from now on (or very soon) Jimmy Pitts will be known as MR Pitts because he will be a Chief Warrant Officer. It was an honor to serve with him and it has been an honor to be his friend for the last 30 years. It is an even bigger honor to know my friend and brother has achieved something he worked 19 years to get and did it without compromising his character.
