I have been working on a book in my head for some time now and progress has been slow at best. Well Wednesday I talked with a man who recently ended his relationship because she cheated and he needed someone to listen to his story. I love doing that because I always know God is taking me somewhere new. I suggested he go to the Men's group that meets on Thursday mornings and start to get connected to the church. I don't normally attend this one because it is at 6 and I like getting the kids up for school. I set my alarm and decided I needed to be there just in case he needed to hear a familiar voice. When it went off I decided he would be fine in Scott's hands and I should sleep. Long story short I went and had a blast and he is getting connected to a great group of men. I also ran into a great friend I hadn't seen in months. I told him about the book and he suggested we co-write it. I almost lost my mind because he is much better at the theology than me and I want the foundation to be strong so it is a perfect fit. Why I didn't think of it before hand is beyond me but I didn't.
So what is the plan? I made a goal of writing a book before I am 40 which is now painfully less than 12 months from now. I never made a plan just a goal. So tomorrow we are meeting to discuss the book and where we go from here to make it happen. This time next year I will be turning down calls from Oprah to come on and talk about our book. Don't even call me Oprah because it is never going to happen. I will consider Larry King but just so I can say, "Hello Uzbekistan you are on the air go ahead". I know that part is weird but I think you need a plan not just a goal. What is it that you want to achieve in life? Do you have a plan?

I plan on having pancakes for breakfast. After that, a nap. Beyond that nope, nothing.
