This time of year just like almost every other time of year I guess is very busy. One of the things I have always struggled with is the stress that comes from saying no. I hate that my ministry can not reach everyone and that we can't feed everyone. I hate that there are kids that won't have a toy this year or a soldier that won't get to see his kids when I get to spoil mine and spend so much time with them. That used to be my big downfall. I can't do for all so I won't do for any.
Now I totally reverse that thinking and I do for one and try to bless that one person rather than worry about being fair. Fairness is not a concept I subscribe to anyway so why apply it to the Christmas season. If I can bless one person this year and not reach everyone, it will still be great. I tell my kids life isn't fair and that is a good thing because if we got what we really deserved we would be in trouble.
So go do for one if you can't do for all and if you can do for all by all means go for it.
